Oh hi, DA! Would you like something a little different? Sure you would!
Here's a sample of some of the art I do for work. This client wanted to see a sample of what native plant restoration could potentially look like. This kind of work is challenging for me. Often times I don't get to see the site in person until after we get the job. My boss just tosses me a photo and says "Make it look good." I have to make educated guesses about the soil, sunlight availability, slope direction, and water distribution. That's where my botany training comes in handy. It takes years of work to bring this sort of change to fruition in the field but once it's completed, well.. a picture's worth a thousand words! Habitat like this, once restored, provides native birds and bees with nectar and seed sources. Native plants are also better able to maintain and restore soil health and filter rainwater as it recharges aquifers. (Also, hey.. you don't have to look at an ugly dirt patch.) The benefits go on and on!
Anyway! Hope you enjoy.
